Congress Voting to Impeach IRS Commissioner

in Fraud & Corruption

“John Koskinen needs to be held accountable,” Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said on Tuesday. The representative has decided to introduce a resolution later today to impeach the IRS commissioner for his uncooperative role in the investigation into his agency’s targeting of conservative groups.

Jordan’s plan is to call up an impeachment resolution, which will require some form of action by the House within two days, setting up a vote before lawmakers leave for the rest of the year. If lawmakers challenged it — for example, by making a motion to table it — a vote would be held on that motion, and that vote would essentially become a proxy vote for impeachment.

Jordan is joined by other conservative lawmakers wanting to oust Koskinen, yet Democrats and even some Republicans don’t believe the commissioner’s actions warrant impeachment.

The IRS made life incredibly difficult for tea party groups seeking tax-exempt status a few years ago and faced little to no accountability for it. Officials like Lois Lerner resigned, yet she nor any other IRS leaders were faced with charges after a Justice Department probe.

Julian Assange to Appeal to Trump Administration for Presidential Pardon

in Fraud & Corruption

Lawyers for WikiLeaks editor Julian Assange are set to launch an appeal to US President-elect Donald Trump to end criminal investigations over the release of classified documents.

Assange, who is currently seeking asylum at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, is wanted by American authorities after releasing classified documents surrounding the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan provided by former US soldier Bradley Manning.

He is also wanted by Swedish authorities over allegations of sexual assault, and was quizzed by prosecutors inside the embassy last week.

Lawyer Jennifer Robinson, who is representing Assange, said that “it is important to remember that he has never been charged and has already been cleared once by the previous prosecutor.”

Sean Hannity’s Brilliant Send-Off Idea for Obama

in Fraud & Corruption

Sean Hannity of Fox News made fans happy the other day when he suggested sending the outgoing disaster of a President, and his family, on a one-way trip to Kenya, or any other country, outside of the US. The best part of the suggestion was the use of one of Donald Trump’s airplanes.

According to The Blaze:

Hannity’s offer comes the day after White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest dodged a question about whether Obama would leave the country if the Republican presidential nominee wins the presidency next month, telling reporters, “He’s working very hard to make sure that nobody has to leave the country as a result of an electoral outcome that the president doesn’t support.”

In response, the Fox host said Tuesday on his radio show that he would charter “as big a plane as Air Force One” for Obama because that’s what he has “grown accustomed to” during his eight years in office. Hannity, an immovable Trump supporter, even said he might be able to convince the billionaire businessman to let the outgoing commander in chief use one of his airliners.

“I will charter a plane for you and your family. I will make sure it’s as big a plane as Air Force One, what you have grown accustomed to, in other words. Taxpayer-funded plane. I don’t know where I’m going to get — maybe I’ll just — maybe I’ll ask Trump if I can charter his plane for Obama,” he said, continuing:

That’s what — I will charter Donald Trump’s plane if he’ll let me, and I will charter it to the country of your choice. You want to go to Canada? I’ll pay for you to go to Canada. You want to go to Kenya? I’ll pay for you to go to Kenya. Jakarta, where you went to school back in the day, you can go back there. Anywhere you want to go. I’m gonna — I’ll put the finest food, caviar, champagne, you name it. I have one stipulation: you can’t come back. That’s fair.

Of course, it’s no surprise Hannity would like to see the president go. Earlier in the segment, the conservative host called Obama “unfit” for the presidency and asserted his administration has been the “worst presidency in our lifetime by far.”

Hannity’s suggestion that the Obamas fly to Kenya is a hat tip to a false claim that the president is not, in fact, an American — a belief that eventually morphed into so-called “birtherism,” a movement spearheaded a few years ago by Trump.

Trump’s previous support of the “birther” claim plagued his campaign so much that last month the GOP candidate held a press conference to concede that Obama “was born in the United States. Period.”

It’s interesting that Mr. Hannity is able to get away with his comments after Fox News has gone through a substantial change of leadership, replacing conservative Roger Ailes with the liberal Murdoch sons.

If Hillary wins, it will be interesting to see if Hannity keeps his job.

Even Hillary Knows She Was Creating a “Mess” With Conflicts of Interest

in Fraud & Corruption

The Wikileaks are revealing a Hillary Clinton Pay-for-Play philosophy and recent email leaks show aide Huma Abedin admitting that Hillary is aware of the mess she is making with apparent conflicts of interests. And one is left to read between the lines that Hillary just can’t help herself and turn down money to a foundation that seems to take funds in, but not spend them on anything other than family and close friends.

According to The Blaze:

The latest hack of Clinton aide John Podesta’s emails showed one from Clinton’s closest aide, Huma Abedin, which said that it was “HRC’s idea” to speak at a Clinton Global Initiative meeting in Morocco in May 2015 as a condition of the $12 million donation, Fox News reported.

“She created this mess and she knows it,” Abedin wrote to Podesta and Robby Mook.

From Fox News:

The “mess” refers in part to the fact that the three Clinton advisers were discussing the possibility of the former secretary of state pulling out of speaking at the May 2015 event because it was happening one month after the official launch of her presidential campaign and could raise more questions about her role at the foundation.

In April 2015, Politico reported the Clinton Foundation was accepting a “major donation” of at least $1 million from a Moroccan government-owned company, OCP, a phosphate exporter. Politico added that an official at the foundation said it was “unlikely” Hillary would attend the May 2015 event, just weeks after the April launch of her campaign.

The new emails surface as Clinton continues to dodge questions of “pay to play” dealings at the Clinton Foundation, including at the most recent presidential debate.

The hack of Clinton aide Podesta’s emails came after he fell for a phishing scam, Politico reported Thursday.

What’s interesting is how little attention these revelations are receiving in the State-sponsored media. If correspondence from Donald Trump showed deliberate intent to act illegally and unethically, the press would spend 24/7 covering all the angles and asking him to resign from the campaign.

But, when Mrs. Clinton is revealed to violate the law, ethical rules and immoral behavior, the press yawns and wants to obsess over Donald Trump brushing up against a woman 30 years ago.

Clinton Foundation Female Pay Gap Catch Hillary in More Hypocrisy

in Fraud & Corruption

While Hillary Clinton is out demanding equal pay for women, she’s shortchanging the female employees at the Clinton Foundations. The stunning information comes from review of recent tax filings by the foundation. Documents that weren’t leaked, but available publicly.

According to The Blaze:

In fact, high-ranking women at the charitable organization earned an average of $81,000 less than men in similar positions, according to the foundation’s public 990 tax forms for the year 2014, which were highlighted late Friday by WikiLeaks.

The list included four women, who averaged $210,000 in total pay, and nine men, who averaged $291,000 in total pay. Though several of the men did outrank the women on staff, female employees earned 72 cents for every dollar male staffers received.

That number is less than the national average of 79 cents to every dollar, which Clinton frequently cites in her “equal pay for equal work” pitches. The “huge discrepancies” are so, well, “huge” that internal emails revealed the campaign was concerned journalists might take notice.

“There are huge discrepancies, and it wouldn’t surprise me if they went here next,” Ian Mandel, a public relations expert advising the Clinton campaign, warned in an email to campaign manager Robby Mook and Tony Carrk, research director at Hillary for America.

The pay gap was first noticed in February 2015, according to WikiLeaks.

The discrepancies in pay were not only in 2014, either. According to the foundation’s 2013 financial filings, the gap was even wider then, with the highest-paying women earning only 63 cents for every dollar earned by men.

And, based on emails stolen by WikiLeaks, the gap may have — at least in 2011 — impacted all 62 of the organization’s employees, 36 of whom were women. At that time, women earned an average of 89 cents for every dollar earned by their male counterparts.

The revelations found in this latest batch of emails are at odds with the message the Democratic presidential nominee has been promoting all election season. “The failure to ensure equal pay for women also impacts families and the broader economy… it devalues the work that women do,” she said in April.

Foundation President Donna Shalala, apparently trying to get ahead of the issue, posted a statement in a blog post earlier this week, calling the pay discrepancy reports “inaccurate.”

“Recent allegations on pay discrepancies at the Clinton Foundation are inaccurate,” she wrote Tuesday. “These calculations are based only on a handful of salaries that do not provide an accurate portrayal of the leadership and staff at Clinton Foundation.”

It’s interesting that the corporate media hasn’t covered this story considering how vehemently they go after equality stories. Apparently there is a different set of standards for the Clintons and their do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do philosophy.

With these recent revelations, does that change your perception of the Clintons and their Foundation? What do you think? Leave a comment with your thoughts below.

Here’s One of the Few Good Things Obama Actually Did

in Fraud & Corruption

While most conservative dislike just about everything President Obama has said and done during his Administration, one benefit from his program to normalize relations with Cuba is sanctions being lifted from importing Cuban cigars and rum into the United States.

According to The Blaze:

It is still illegal to order Cuban rum or cigars for delivery in the United States, or for those who return with Cuban rum and cigars to sell them to other American citizens.

The new rules are part of a broader push by the Obama administration to increase trade with Cuba and also permit Cuban pharmaceuticals to receive FDA approval for sale in the United States.

Cuban rum and cigar aficionados will no doubt enthusiastically welcome legal access to their preferred Cuban brands, but critics of President Barack Obama’s Cuba policy note that improving trade with Cuba serves to bolster the Cuban government, which has long been accused of serial human rights abuses.

One especially harsh critic of the measures was Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), whose parents emigrated from Cuba to escape communist rule. Rubio blasted the Obama administration’s executive order today, accusing the White House of “bankrolling a communist dictatorship.” According to a statement released by Rubio’s office:

After two years of President Obama’s Cuba policy, the Castro regime has made out like bandits and received numerous concessions from the U.S. without lifting a finger to return the fugitives it is harboring from American justice, pay Americans for their stolen property, or allow the Cuban people to exercise their God-given freedoms. Today’s announcement reaffirms the fact that President Obama’s Cuba policy puts the Castro regime’s interests first, profits ahead of America’s national security, and the Cuban people’s rights and dignity dead last.

So, while we benefit from the cigars and rum, one has to wonder why, with so much leverage, Mr. Obama choose not to return fugitives, seek reimbursement for stolen property or insist on certain reforms. Instead, Mr. Obama seems to be more concerned about supporting Communist dictators than serving the American public.

Is Sheriff Clarke Being Ostracized For His Stance Against Black Lives Matter

in Fraud & Corruption

Conservative Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke announced the other day that a college speaking engagement was rescinded and he thinks the reason is because he is staunchly against the terrorism of Black Lives Matter.

According to The Blaze:

“I’ve been overwhelmed by the response from students, alumni, and others who heard about my unfair treatment,” Clarke noted Thursday. “A senior at the school, Brian Sharnick, even started a petition demanding that the school bring me in and apologize.”

The University of New Haven posted a statement Wednesday acknowledging students and alumni are “upset that Sheriff David Clarke’s invitation to speak at the Markle Symposium was rescinded.” The school indicated only that “circumstances did not permit Sheriff Clarke’s attendance.”

Posting on his blog Thursday, Clarke was not happy:

Did you catch that? “Circumstances did not permit” me to come. That’s the kind of shadowy language guilty people use … and believe me, I’ve seen many guilty people over the course of my 38 years of law enforcement.

When the University disinvited me — telling my assistant the reason was because of my stance against #BlackLIESMatter, I was okay with it. I was working this event into an already full schedule. But the cowardly official response from the school is just too much.

Clarke also called out the school’s President Steven H. Kaplan: “I understand why you don’t want people to know that a predominantly white college won’t let a black man speak on campus because of your incredible support for minorities. That doesn’t even pass the ‘straight face test.’” He also told the school to “own” its decision rather than saying Clarke was a “victim of circumstances. At least have the courage of your convictions.”

“If you think that the students, faculty, and alumni of your school will believe that ‘circumstances’ conspired to disinvite me — instead of you guys bowing the knee to political correctness — then you really might need to walk over to the forensics department,” the sheriff added.

The University of New Haven added another Facebook post late Thursday walking back its assertion that Clarke’s invitation was rescinded. The update insisted rather that an invitation was “explored but never officially extended.”

The reason? The school said it was due to Clarke’s requests related to the engagement — “first-class airfare, a presidential hotel suite, and transportation from the airport in a black SUV.”

Those following the dust-up pounced on the school:

“Then why did you initially say that the invitation was rescinded?” Ana Frace commented. “If it was never officially extended, then how did you rescind it? Your choice of words doesn’t make sense. If this is really the case, this statement is what should have been said first, not that an invitation had been given and then taken away.”

Chuck Fick wasn’t buying it, either: “Seeing I have personally petitioned and received approval for several thousands of dollars (and it was way more than what Sheriff Clarke was requesting) from different departments across campus just to cover a speaker fee for a person in the sports industry to come speak to students I say this is a cop-out excuse.”

It’s interesting to see how Mr. Clarke and other conservative officials are being targeted financially, legally and politically in apparent attacks to thwart them from being heard. As populism grows, it’s getting harder for the establishment media to control the narrative and more diverse opinions are being heard.
