Parkland Survivor Attacks The NRA

in Important Issues

Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School senior David Hogg appeared on a recent airing of ABC’s “This Week,” to discuss topics regarding the shooting. During the interview Hogg stated the NRA’s hesitation towards any form of gun control is “just disgusting.”

Hogg stated, “Honestly, it’s just disgusting. They act like they don’t own the politicians. They do. It’s a Republican-controlled House, Senate, executive branch. They can get this stuff done. They’ve gotten gun legislation passed before in their favor and the favor of gun manufacturers.”

  • Jeff Stevenson

I’m still at a loss as to how this is the NRA’s fault. First off, the multiple law enforcement calls to the home of the shooter. Then the lack of action by the Sheriff’s Dept. Then we have the state government, and the Media pushing blame to the President of the United States? I am sorry, but being old, I might have missed any of the past presidents being blamed for any shootings? I am pretty sure the shooting at a Congress Softball game, where the shooter had an AK and was a Bernie Sanders supporter and verified who the republicans were prior to shooting, but guess I missed the NRA blame line there as well. Please someone educate me on how an organization who supports all race/creed/color/religion on supporting Constitutional rights is to blame for a criminal who purchased a rifle (not an assault or assault style as its not one per legal definition) and had his background checked (Hmmm FBI, State, Fed) and still POTUS and NRA are bad guys, according to this ALL KNOWING and son of an FBI agent? Isn’t this special.

    • Bandit

If you co z check on the kid you just may find that he is a crisis actor go push the anti gun agenda, and being the don of an fbi agent only makes that more likely that he is a crisis actor.

  • Matthew Adams

will someone please tell hogg that the ones who failed everybody was the FBI and that dumb sheriff what ever his liberal name is .Why is it Trumps fault and the NRA when they weren’t the ones who failed you.

    • sandraleesmith46

      Leftist agenda! Projecting again.

  • Martin

    Hogg is a grandstanding 💩.

    • Voice of Reason

It’s the old milking the “…15 minutes of fame…,” thing.

    • sandraleesmith46

WORSE, he’s a “crisis ACTOR” hired to push the agenda.

      • Bandit

Look at some of the pics from las vegas and you just might see him there as well, not to mention afew few areas he has been to when some of these shootings happened.

        • sandraleesmith46

Not him or the girl in that photo, but a brunette Caucasian gal sure was, and supposedly a survivor here too.

  • Donald Hufford

Quit listening to everybody else and think for yourself the N R A has done more for gun control then any of your liberal politicians check your fact you idiot

    • Ahmed F. Hosny

You’re going to confuse him. You cannot use the word “fact” and liberal in the same sentence, or paragraph or chapter.

  • Peter Smith

Let me ask little liberal Mr. Hogg a question. Do you have a problem understanding the verbage of the 2nd Amendment? Does even know the purpose of the 2nd Amendment? I’m pretty sure both answers are “No!” Another line of questions perhaps? When the Democrats had the same advantage in government control from 2009 to 2011, how much did they do to pass gun control legislation? Or immigration reform? Or any other item on the current liberal agenda? Based on what we’ve seen recently from our FBI, he definitely is the son of a former agent, another loser ………

  • Richard Gieser

If schools are supposed to be teaching you how to prepare for life, why aren’t they teaching gun safety like the NRA does?

    • kenward42

School rules are so insane. Last week our five year old grandson was sent to his school principal for punishment for even mentioning that he has cap guns at his papa’s (grandpa’s) house that they play with all of the time. He told his friend and the principal that the cap guns weren’t dangerous, but that didn’t matter. Kids can’t even point their finger like a gun without being punished. I grew up many years ago in a rural community, and we often had firearms in our vehicles in the school parking area. And none of them ever climbed out on their own and shot anyone. Most of us also carried jack knives to school daily.

      • Ahmed F. Hosny

        1984 in 2017…………..

      • Richard Gieser

        When sense was actually common.

    • Kate Hite

Once upon a time schools did that. I went to a school in a large urban area, and when I became a sophomore, I was eligible to join the rifle club. We had an NRA instructor who taught us how to break down a .22 bolt action rifle, and we were able to progress through the NRA certification program–marksman, expert, sharpshooter. Of course, that was many years ago when people still had common sense!

  • Virginia Golobek

your school sold you out for cash , go after the cause of the problem

  • Shahid Raki

Peter Smith needs to stop trying to belittle this young man. The second Amendment was written years ago, pretty soon after the Constitution and Declaration were written. Many people today don’t know what it’s concept was for. It needs to be changed and he knows it, but will anyone stand up and work for our children/grandchildren’s benefit is the better question that needs to be addressed, not his demeaning ones. It’s our young children who are under the gun at our nation’s schools, not adults with self centered ideas. From what I’m seeing, I wonder that anyone would act in the positive even if their own child was harmed. That’s simply pathetic. People like Peter Smith need to sit down and be quiet. Either work to protect our future or keep your do nothing comments to yourself.

    • Batbear

Jeepers, Mr. Raki, where were you educated in American history and government–or, better, where have you been for the last 240 years? San Francisco? Remedial courses are available for such people. I’m certain of it.

Look at Peter Smith’s post this way: whereas you may have had the misfortune of having been educated in government schools in someplace like San Francisco or Berkely, Americans–and I mean loyal ones–who have been educated classically, home-schooled or in privately supported academic centers, or who have graduated from a bona-fide University (not Evergreen in Washington State, or Columbia U.), look at David Hogg’s statement as no more than a set of Democrat talking points, honed by NEA mules posing as “public” school teachers.

His statment exposes him as unemployable, even if he earns a PhD in Law from Harvard and an Rocket Science doctorate from Juliard. He has become a non-thinking victim of Liberalism, the philosophical equivalent of a Stepford wife.

And you? Lord have mercy. Stop listening to whomever you are listening to. Watch something besides CNN or MSNBC. Take an intellectual shower. Please.

      • Bandit

Take a good look at that hoggs kid he is for all intents and purposes is a crisis actor and is being paid for the things he has been saying, blaming the NRA for this, if you read what the demoncrats havecommitted been saying for the last several years blaming the NRA for all the shootings sell there you have it; that hoggs is a crisis actor paid to tow the party line.

    • sandraleesmith46

No; YOU need to learn the REAL purpose of the 2nd A; and that it’s destruction is intended so that we can be KILLED OFF without opposition! READ the leftists’ plans as found in their agendas! Our CHILDREN are under the gun because targets are painted ON them called “gun free zone” signs!

    • Shahid Raki

Batbear. You said a lot to say nothing. “Talking Loud, and Saying Nothing”, according to James Brown’s song. I don’t watch such reports as you allude to. Instead of continuing like Peter Smith with belittling of people’s ideas or education, give some worthwhile input. Just sit down and be quiet. You learn more by listening than just speaking off the collar.

    • Chris Fostel

I sorry Shahid Raki, The 1st and 4th Amendments were written at the same time as the 2nd Amendment. People seem to understand the right to an abortion, and freedom of speech, even though they are losing their grip on freedom to practice the religion of your choice. None of the Amendments are out of date. People who think the are should sit down and read the Federalist Papers. The Founding Fathers explained why every line, clause and punctuation mark are where they are. If you don’t understand the document don’t invent new rules just to make yourself happy.

      • Shahid Raki

Something that was written in the 1780’s is up to date? Really? I beg to differ with that. There is always room for updating, elimination, or continuation of such papers.

        • Richard Gieser

And so it has been, but perhaps not always in your anti-American, anti-Constitution way of (non) thinking.

        • Bandit

So your idea is get rid of everything you don’t like, things like the second amendment and mate the 1st amendment as well, how about the whole of the bill of rights, as the demoncrats want to do. Do you even realize that thepeople DEMONcrats have a new Constitution already written they are just waiting for a con-con to be held Do they can put their new constitution in place and turn the whole of the people into slaves of the government. Just read between the lines of what things like dianne frankenstein gave been saying.

          • Shahid Raki

It’s the Demoncrats and Regurgitators that are bowing down to the NRA while countless numbers of children are being murdered around the country. I wonder how long they’d sit on their hands if a religious terrorist had shot all of these precious souls. Whether it’s on the state or national level, there needs to be some action taken and stop with all of the stupid back and forth we’re having here, which is useless.

          • Bandit

Again do you want the constitution eliminated just like the far left liberals want, or do you want to live under the rule of law (the Constitution), the liberals want to get rid of the first 10 amendments in the bill of rights which also happens to include the 2nd amendment. And again machine guns cannot be purchased at gun stores any where in the country.

      • Bucks County Dudebear

Excuse me – the constitution does not say anything about a ” right to an abortion ” – but it does say that we have the ” right to life, liberty, pursuit of happiness ” .

    • Richard Gieser

People like Shahid Raki need to sit down and be quiet. Either work to protect our future or keep your do nothing comments to yourself.

  • Derek

So. Somehow the NRA has become responsible for the terrorist attack at the school ???
    Really ?

It seems to me that the responsible person is the one who did the shooting. As to the gun
being responsible; Nope. It cannot pull its own trigger. Get real!

Let us think responsibly. This perpetrator needs punishment!

    • sandraleesmith46

Yes and the accused person is almost CERTAINLY NOT the person/persons who DID the shooting. A student who survived says she was OUTSIDE talking to Cruz, whom she knows, while the shooting was ongoing. A teacher who survived says the shooter was HEAVILY armored and had an rifle such as she’d never seen, describing its action as that of a fully automatic weapon (bursts of fire). HOW could Cruz be outside during the shooting and how could the student who knew him not notice he was wearing body armor? It’s looking like a false flag with Cruz, a troubled kid, as the PATSY!

      • Bandit

I read another article that said about the same thing; that while the shooting was still ongoing that cruz kids was outside, methinks there is a red herring in the pot, there are just too many unanswered questions that we just are not getting from the police,
One of those questions is why did the sheriff NOT go into the school??? The answer they tragedies not cut it or pass the smell test,
Another question I have is where were the SROs they should have been right there to stop this. This whole thing stinks from the top down,

        • sandraleesmith46

The failure of the SO deputies to go in has been answered; there was a deal between the schools and law enforcement in Broward, like the 1 in Miami-Dade, to the south, which caused LEOs to allow juvenile criminals a pass, which escalated over time to include even violent felonies; they had standing orders to not intervene and arrest the juvenile criminal, so as to cut down the arrest rates of their minority juvenile criminals and look good on paper for both the SO and the schools. Peterson, the 1st deputy on site was the SRO.

  • kenward42

These people who blame the NRA are so misguided. They should be blaming the officials who ignore the numerous red flags raised about the mental condition of the deranged perpetrator of the violence. As I saw it, the NRA wasn’t involved in any way!

  • sandraleesmith46

Neither of those 2 is a “survivor” of Parkland; they’re PAID CRISIS ACTORS put in place to push the leftists’ anti gun agenda!

    • Bandit

I had found a pic of the kid from last year that was taken in Vegas after that shooting there, it is looking more and more likea you just may be correct.

      • sandraleesmith46

Okay then 2 of the alleged survivors were also at Vegas for the shooting.

  • DonRS

When little pimple faced children are given a platform to air their naive, ill considered simple thoughts, they rush forward and make fools (easy, short putt) of themselves! Hogg’s 15 minutes of fame are coming to an end!

By now, it should be evident, allowing children to buy been, rifles, VOTE when their little pea brains now reaquire YEARS LONGER TO MATURE, that, at a minimum, the voting age should be raised to a MINIMUM of 25, more likely 30!

    • Ahmed F. Hosny

and eating soap does not help with mental development.

    • Bandit

That hoggs kids sounds like and looks like a crisis actor, look at some of the other shootings there have been and chances are you just might see his face in some of them.

  • Ahmed F. Hosny

I thought he was a California survivor. !!!

  • Bucks County Dudebear

The culture of violence that the younger generation of today are growing up in has subjected them to – videos – movies – music – all of which teaches them that solving their problems / retaliating against others because of failures at school – bullying – being left out of the accepted ” cool group ” – family inconsistencies / discrepancies ( fatherless children / broken homes ) makes it easy for them to rationalize that violence will give them satisfaction as a way to get back at society for the situation they find themselves in . Nikolas Cruz was adopted – subsequently parentless – without a father figure – looked upon by others as ” weird – kinky – creepy – did not handle rejection well – he obviously needed help – school personnel were / should have been there for him .

  • Rick Wise

What law has prevented a crime? Has laws stopped criminals from rape…stealing…killing…drugs etc….Criminals don’t care about laws…If the money media…and efforts were put into schools to make them safer….youd have a winner…no unauthorized person should ever be allowed to enter a school.

  • Shahid Raki

For all of you people who’ve taken the time to attack my so called lack of knowing what’s either in or not in the U. S. Constitution;s 2nd Amendment I attach the entire portion for your perusal.
    “Amendments to the Constitution

    Article
[II] (Amendment 2 – Bearing Arms)

    A well regulated Militia, being
necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and
bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
You so called well informed people all need to shut your mouths and stop trying to attack me. Any article or amendment in the constitution can be amended. Say and think what you want, but it can and you should hopefully know that too. That’s what an amendment is, a change in the constitution. If I was to believe any of your ideas/thoughts/interpretations I would really be misinformed. After you’ve read it say whatever you want, but it speaks very simply for itself. It was written but it can be amended if the politicians were to take such action, which they’re determined not to do because they would rather see their children die in schools than go up against the NRA and it looks like none of you will either.

    • sandraleesmith46

Apparently you don’t know that the “well regulated militia” is made up of ALL the able bodied CITIZENS of that state, and it’s on the states that they haven’t been training their militias, not the citizens of that militia! And to change an amendment to the Constitution requires another AMENDMENT ratified by 3/4 of the states’ legislatures; it can’t be done by Congress alone, let alone the POTUS or SCOTUS!

  • Shahid Raki

The thing that needs to be addressed is will these politicians step up and save their children or just let them keep dying in places where they’re supposed to be receiving an education. I don’t know if you have children or not, but most Americans do and I would hope that enough of them have had enough and will work to get all of the deadbeats out of office. According to what the NRA says, the school shooters are not “criminals.” Unfortunately they become them once they start shooting their classmates/teachers/others in their own schools. You can talk all you want about me, but you can’t get around the fact that this is what’s happening and no one is doing anything but talking up their sleeves.

  • Bobby

Another Clueless Imbecilic Idiot x He should have been on the receiving end of the Killers Bullets x Too early to pander to the Leftist Liberal Libtards Agenda

  • Shahid Raki

No. The constitution doesn’t need to be eliminated, but there needs to be some changes to some of the more antiquated amendments though. One has to remember that when it was written many of America’s politicians were still using “Old English” in their conversations, especially in anything that strict legal connections and the Constitution and Declaration of Independence were exactly those kinds of documents.
